Gateway to UHP

During my senior year of high school, I was in a Project Lead The Way course called Biomedical Innovations. Throughout this course, I learned a lot about the quality of the healthcare system and the disparities of the US Healthcare system, including the extent to which the Opioid crisis is impacting the US as well. This inspired me to look into ways to improve the overall quality of healthcare. I also got the opportunity to shadow an Interventional Radiologist, during which I learned about various procedures and how IRs are not very accessible in many countries. Minimally invasive procedures will become the norm if accessibility was increased, which is something I hope to look into in the future.
